Who We Are"Bee The Change" is a non-profit organization that aims at empowering homeless men and women to become leaders and "Beevangelists" in the Milwaukee area. Participants who regularly attend the free lunch program, Noon Run served by Marquette University students, at Redeemer Lutheran Church are eligible to take part in this program. "Bee the Change" works in conjunction with the Ziedler Center in order to provide meaningful discussions with community members to end the fear and stigma around bees and to educate on the importance of the bee population health.

Program Description |
A leadership program where participants are selected from those who regularly attend the free lunch program served by Marquette's Noon Run at Redeemer Lutheran Church, and trained to oversee the health of the beehive recently installed on Redeemer's rooftop. Participants are also trained by the Zeidler Center to facilitate public discussion with community members to end fear and stigma against bees, and lead workshops on beekeeping and the importance of bees.
All participants that attend the training sessions, get certified, and officially become "Beevangelists" are given a free "Bee the Change" t-shirt and a jar of honey! |
